Bible – We believe in verbal inspiration of the 66 books of the Bible in its original manuscripts and that it is without error. We believe that “….all scripture is given by inspiration of God…” and that Holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” ( 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21). The Bible is our guide and rule for daily living, and our actions and conduct must be governed by its precepts.
We believe the King James Version of the Bible is an accurate and faithful English translation of the original manuscripts. For that reason, the KJV Bible is the official translation used by our church.
The Trinity – We believe there is only one true God, existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-eternal and co-equal from all eternity, each with distinct personalities, but of one essence. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Titus 3:5)
Virgin Birth – We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Ghost, born of Mary, a virgin. He is both the Son of God and God the Son. (Matthew 1:18-25)
Sin – We believe Adam was created without sin, but fell by disobedience and thus the whole human race fell and are by nature spiritually dead and lost. We believe if man is born with a sinful nature, evidenced by sinful acts; and that he is not born again, he is eternally lost. (Romans 3:10-23)
Deity – We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, co-existing with the Father and the Holy Spirit, and that He came into the world, born of a virgin, lived sinless life, shed His blood on Calvary as vicarious substitute for all sin, that He was buried and rose again bodily and ascended to the right hand of the Father; and in His personal, pretribulation return for His church and His premillennial return with His saints at the Revelation. (1 John 5:1-5; Matthew 26:63-66)
Holy Spirit – We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit, which includes conviction of sin, regeneration of sinners, indwelling of believers. The Holy Spirit also reproves, instructs, and guides believers. (Titus 3:5; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
Salvation – We believe that salvation is the free gift of God offered to man by His grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is not by the works of man. We believe that Jesus died on the cross and shed his blood for our sins. The blood of Christ cleanses man’s sins. We believe that a soul is saved when Christ is accepted as personal Saviour and Lord and the Holy Spirit imparts eternal life. (Ephesians 2:4-10, Acts 4:12; Romans 10:9-13)
Eternal Security – We believe in the eternal preservation and therefore the eternal perseverance of the saved. We believe in the eternal security for believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that at death the souls of the saved go immediately to heaven. (John 10:27-30).
Local Church - We believe that a New Testament Church is a local group of Baptized believers united for His purposes and the knowledge and spread of the Word, including world-wide missions. We believe that it is completely self-determining and responsible only to Christ the Head of church. We believe it is completely independent with no other person, group, or body having any authority, right of intervention, or control whatsoever over or within a local church. The two ordinances of the church are baptism and Lord's Supper. (Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Timothy 3; Acts 20:17-20)
Baptism and Lord’s Supper – We believe there are two ordinances of the local church. They are baptism and Lord's Supper. Scriptural baptism is the immersion of the believer in water to signify the His death, burial and resurrection, and the believer’s identification with Him. The Lord's Supper should be partaken of by obedient believers only to show forth His death until He comes. (Acts 8:38; Mark 1:9-10)
Rapture and Second Coming of Christ - We believe in the Premillennial second coming of the Lord, in the bodily resurrection of the righteous dead at His coming, and in an endless heaven for all the redeemed and an endless punishment for the lost. We believe in the imminent return of our Savior. When he comes, the Saved will be caught up to meet him in the air before the great Tribulation and Millennium take place. (Acts 1:10-11; Revelation 20)
Our Daily Walk – We believe that it is the plan of God for each believer is to walk after the spirit and not to fulfill the lust of the flesh. (Romans 12:1-2, 1 Corinthians 15:58)
Evangelism & Missions– We believe that all men are lost and need the Saviour and that soul winning begins where we are. Therefore reaching the lost is every Christian’s duty and privilege. We believe in and support missionary endeavors at home and abroad. The great commission given by our Lord and Saviour must be carried out by his church. (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Acts1:8; 1 Timothy 2:3-6)
We shall hold forth the following as the objectives of our church:
- The Salvation of the lost at home and abroad
- To nourish and build up its members in the faith, thus encouraging growth in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- To encourage and advance Christian fellowship among the members and other believers of like faith and practice, in conformity with New Testament standards.
